I too am PIMO and I just updated my card to accept ALL blood fractions as well as all procedures involving my own blood. If figure that's pretty close to no restrictions.

Blood Card Issue
by pometerre21 ini posted this on r/exjw, but i thought i might post it here as well.
so the elders in our kh are moving to get us to sign new simplified blood cards and keep them on file.
i really need to not rock the boat in my current pimo status because of circumstances.. my cousin knows i have doubts about the blood thing, but i can’t show her that my doubts are getting to me.

conversation with a JW about the sun
by neat blue dog injw: didn't we just hear somebody say that the sun's gonna blow up?.
me: well, they were saying that it will expand and eventually burn out.. jw: but it can't do that, it just keeps blowing up inside and getting more power.. me: well, they were talking about stars in general, how they have a life span.. jw: but god didn't make it that way, it's firmly established to time indefinite.
it's not like the sun is a regular star.

Thanks, but no thanks!
by FadeToBlack inthat was essentially my reply to a recent sms i got from the elder of the group i am supposed to be in, requesting a visit to encourage me and get to know me better.
my wife has been attending english language meetings in warsaw for the last year or so (i have never been) and i think they are getting antsy about where i stand.
i've met many of them at events my wife hosted at our house, but so far nobody has pressed me on the issue of my inactivity.. at one of the events, an elder mentioned that he'd heard i 'had been' a jw for many years and he was curious what first attracted me to the org.

Republicans Are Not Welcome!
by minimus inthe owner of the used apple store in derry new hampshire has put on his facebook that republicans are evil and they are not welcome in his store.
he has done tv interviews now saying that republicans simply should not try to come in and he can generally tell if someone is a republican.
it is interesting that a business owner can bar someone because of their political opinions but if a business owner conscientiously couldn’t make a cake for a gay couple, they are in legal jeopardy..

He's probably among those who trash talked those who respectfully referred a gay couple to their competitor for a cake, but now he thinks it's okay to do the same? Typical non-self-aware far left liberal.

Priming the Pump
by days of future passed inthe definition of priming the pump, is put to water manually into the casing of the pump so that it will create a seal and draw the water up.
it's a term used for economics but i like to use it when i am trying to hopefully help a jw, escape.
i view it as a long term endeavor.. whenever there are videos for upcoming conventions, i'll try to work the main theme into a conversation with them.

What's in it for us? Speaking for myself, and possibly days of future passed, its a great way to help people improve their lives. Even if they never fully escape, we may plant a seed that makes their quality of life, critical thinking skills, opportunities and relationships with others that much better, even by unshackling a little bit of their indoctrination. It also makes our time in the cult worthwhile, helping more people than we ever did going door to door. -

A spy's life is a lonely one
by LevelThePlayingField inso i have been awake since about this time in 2013, so about 5 years.
and the craziest thing about it is that now, no one, and i mean no one know's i am an apostate.
meaning, that i don't believe the jw minds set/beliefs at all, and no one knows it.

I know it must be far more common than the GB would have anybody believe. I've been fully awake for a year and a half, and yes it's very lonely, but not just that: frustrating. Emotionally taxing too, especially because it involves friends and family, the very people I WANT to share my deepest thoughts and feelings with. So far, my only direct outlets have been this website and prayer. However I do PLENTY of discreet reverse-witnessing, in private conversations, comments and from the platform.

Acronym with another meaning.
by Lost in the fog ini was reading one of the jw archive pages and i kept coming across the acronym lgbt.
i thought it strange because with the org's anti-gay rhetoric why would they be referring so much to the lgbt community.
finally i reached the end of the article and waded through all the footnotes to discover that lgbt was shorthand for the book let god be true.

Good find! 😄
There's also WTF (Watchtower Farms) and the various BS (Bible Schools) like BS-CC & BS-SB. They did the smart thing and took off "Bible" for the latest iteration SKE (School for Kingdom Evangelizers). They weren't learning much about the Bible anyway, mostly organizational history and protocol.
Then there's SJW (social justice warrior). I always have to tell myself subconsciously that this has nothing to do with JWs.

If there ever was another defector from the GB who would apostatise ?
by Chook ini don’t think any would give up the gravy train but that’s me personally.
ray franz was part of a larger club..

The new one, Cook, I don't know enough about to see if he's a candidate.
Loesch stumbled onto the GB and has the same mentality as many typical rank and file, not sure he's capable.
Splane is a self-deluded zealot in the vein of Fred Franz.
Morris is a hardliner who'll be right even when he's wrong.
Lett has an air of innocence, but I think there's more going on in that head than meets the eye. He can be mean if he doesn't know you're looking.
Sure, Herd is a mysogonist who's loyal to the org, but he's softened recently and knows a lot of it is crap. Still, he's just tired and doesn't want to rock the boat.
So for me it's down to Sanderson and Jackson.
Sanderson is the youngest and is still very idealistic and hero worship-ey regarding his senior GB fellows, but he's bound to have seen many things he never knew of in the past few years on the team, and still has a chance to come around to a situation that would make him defect. He also doesn't have a JW wife to hold him down.
Jackson seems to be the most easy going of the bunch. In his talks he also seems the most likely to insert thoughts about less legalism, more compassion, and more focus on Jesus. He seems to sincerely believe in the org, and probably feels he was justified in using theocratic warfare at the ARC, probably even being prepped on what to say before going. He also has his language teaching book listed on Amazon and was seen with not a very close shave in two pictures when he was younger in his life story. He also still has a chance as he isn't too old yet, his parents still being alive.

E-mail chains that became doctrine
by paradiseseeker indigimon, pokemon, hello kitty, "waka waka" by shakira... are things that all of a sudden became frowned upon because of a random menopausal jw housewife that read an e-mail chain that said that those things were satanic.
furthermore, we were explicitly warned about pokemon and waka waka from the platform of a district convention.
have you experienced more examples of such mastery of critical thinking?

Yup. Almost a decade ago when Avatar was all the rage, the CO at our circuit ass. mentioned the movie and then said,
'Did you know that the word Avatar comes from Hindu gods? Look it up!'
Now keep in mind I was fully PIMI at the time, but I didn't let this one slide. I thought
"Of COURSE I know that. But it has nothing at all to do with the movie! The word Avatar is even used to describe thumbnails for online users. It's used illustratively. This guy doesn't have a clue what he's talking about."

Satan is "bullying" you through family
by neat blue dog injust thought i'd share this ridiculous picture from a recent watchtower.
in recent years, the word bullying has been thrown around a lot, and often misused by instigators and subtle bullies themselves.
in this picture we learn that your loving family who wants to continue sharing a family tradition with you, who hands you a beautifully wrapped present with a smile on their face, is in fact bullying you.

Oh I don't know, maybe the COBE's head is inside that christmas "gift" box with a card that says "you're next" with a smiley face emogi.
Lolol 😅
After all Christmas is a birthday, and we all know what birthdays are all about: Decapitations.
